How Prioritize Staying Active When You’re Busy

June 17, 2019

This post was sponsored by Michelob ULTRA as part of Influencer Activation and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

As most of you probably know, in addition to blogging, I run my own social media marketing agency so it is pretty easy to get wrapped up on my computer and not prioritizing staying active.

In today’s post, I’m sharing how to juggle a busy schedule while staying active and making time to eat right and exercise.

Learn how to stay active when you're busy today on Breakfast at Lilly's.

Put it on your calendar // When it comes to exercise, personally, if it is not on my calendar, it’s not happening! Putting it on your calendar and making it a non-negotiable will help you better prioritize your wellbeing.

Take time for self-care // I don’t know about you, but when we’re constantly busy, self-care can begin to take a back seat if we’re not careful.

During the Summer months, I find that getting a little vitamin D while sitting on the patio next to my husband with a Michelob ULTRA Lime Cactus in hand helps me unwind and relax from a long day.

Since it only has 5.5 carbs and 95 carbs, its almost guilt-free but make sure to drink responsibly as too much of anything is not always a good thing.

If I’m feeling a little bolder, I’ll opt for the Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold which has only 2.5 carbs and 85 calories.

These two options are better for you than the average beer.

Right now, they are hosting a Get Out Get Active Sweepstakes and you can enter for a chance to win an amazing prize pack.

For official rules please visit GetActiveThisSummer.com

Start small // I’m one of those people who will fail miserably if I cut out all the bad foods and try to put myself on a five-times-a-week workout schedule from the get go. If that sounds overwhelming to you, then start small. Go for a bike ride or walk a couple of times a week and start working your way up to more and more exercise time as you go.

Make exercise more fun // I know I’m less likely to workout if it’s something I don’t enjoy like lifting weights so spruce up your routine a little bit by trying a cycling or dance class instead of the same old tired routine.

What do you do to prioritize staying active when you’re constantly busy? Let me know down below!

April Coffee Chat 2019

April 22, 2019

The blog has been a bit quiet lately and I’ve missed posting here more often. Confetti Social is my priority at this time and while I still love this blog of mine, unfortunately, it has to take a backseat sometimes. I really want to be more consistent here and I will try my best but I can’t make any promises right now so just stick with me and hopefully, I’ll be able to commit to something a little more consistent soon.

Reading: I’m not currently reading anything but I’m ready to dive into my spring reading list headfirst. Reading is always so relaxing for me.

Listening to: I have taken a bit of a pause with podcast consumption as well but I have been tuning into my favorites in my free time. Any favorite podcasts that you listen to? Let me know in the comments.

Watching: Most of my shows are on break right now but I’m excited for the Bachelorette to come back. I’m also rewatching One Tree Hill for the seventeenth time so there’s that.

Working on: My business has been taking most of my energy as of late and I’m completely okay with that. It’s tiring at times but I’ll be headed on a trip soon enough and hopefully, I’ll be able to recharge then.

Your Turn:

What have you been up to lately? Please let me know down in the comments.

Spring Reading List

March 25, 2019

I can’t believe we’re already almost to April. I’m excited to share what’s on my spring reading list today.

Spring Reading List

Verity // Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors so its no surprise that one of her books is on my reading list. After reading the synopsis, I am so excited for this one.

An Unwanted Guest // I have read 2 of Shari Lapena’s books and they are just so good. I am all about a good thriller so I can’t wait to check this one out.

Then She Was Gone // Another thriller, who is surprised? Not me. I am also excited to check this one out. I have also read at least one book by this author so I’m ready to devour another one of her novels.

The Lies We Told // I haven’t read anything from this author yet but I have seen it on a few people’s to be read lists so I am intrigued.

The Last Time I Lied // And yet another mystery book. If you can’t tell, mystery is pretty much my favorite genre.

All Your Perfects // And because I love Colleen Hoover so much, I added this one to the mix too. I’m honestly surprised I haven’t read it yet so I’m stoked to dive in.

What’s on your reading list this season? Any one genre that you tend to gravitate towards? Please feel free to let me know down in the comments.

March Goals 2019

March 4, 2019

I can’t believe its already March. January was super slow…but February just flew by so who knows what we’re in store for during March.

February Goals Recap

Read two books // This month I was only able to read one book but I want to get back to two books again.

Continue working out and losing weight // If we’re being honest, I kind of fell off the wagon a little in February. Picking back up this week with the gym and healthy eating and hoping to continue throughout the month.

Save money // I was definitely able to save quite a bit more than usual this month. I want to continue to do this so I can build my savings back up.

March Goals

Read two books // I want to read two books this month. Reading is my escape from reality so its always nice to give myself time to relax and read every month.

Get my booty back into the gym // I’m shooting for at least 2x a week in the gym so hopefully, I can get back to it. In regards to eating healthy, I am going to try my hardest to eat healthy during the week and then give myself one cheat meal per weekend.

Continue to save money // Like I mentioned above, I want to replenish my savings so I want to spend less and save whatever I can so that I have the cushion in the event of an emergency again.

What are your March goals? Let me know down in the comments.

February 2019 Goals

February 4, 2019

This is probably weird to say but January felt like both the shortest and longest month at the same time. I didn’t set monthly goals in January because I usually do my goals list for my birthday. This year it was 28 goals before I turn 28 next January.

Today on Breakfast at Lilly's I'm sharing my February goals.

I’ve already been working towards some of those goals like…

– Reading several books already

– Getting into a consistent gym routine

– Losing weight (I’m down 6 lbs already)

– Making more meals at home

–  And so much more

I’m excited to see what all I accomplish over 2019 and can’t wait to cross more of my goals off my list.

February Personal Goals 2019

Read two books // Last month I read two books so this month I want to read at least two books again this month.

Continue working out and losing weight // In January, I lost around 6 lbs and I want to continue losing weight and getting my booty into the gym at least 2x a week if not more.

Save money // December is usually a crazy spending month for me with the holidays, my mom’s birthday, and then my own birthday at the very beginning of January so that means my credit card bill in January is usually astronomical so I’m going to try and save as much money as possible this month.

Your Turn:

What are your goals for this month? Please feel free to let me know down in the comments.

January Coffee Chat

January 28, 2019

We’re almost through the first month of 2019 and I can’t believe it. I wanted to share a quick coffee chat with y’all to catch up on things.

Getting into a healthier lifestyle //

One of my major focuses this year has been leaning into an overall healthy lifestyle and so far, so good. As of last week, I have lost over 6 pounds and I am planning to continue eating healthier and getting to the gym a few times a week to continue shedding those pounds. It hasn’t been super easy but since I’m not doing any specific sort of diet and just eating a certain amount of calories, it hasn’t been as difficult as other diets.

January Coffee Chat

Reading: I’m currently reading a book called A Killer’s Mind. Another mystery book (shocker, of course) but so far, it’s pretty good. I have so many things on my to be read list but mostly ready to read all of the books on my winter reading list.

Listening to: Honestly, I haven’t been listening to too many new podcasts lately, just listening to my favorites as they release new episodes but haven’t found any new ones as of late. Have any recommendations for good biz or true crime focused podcasts? Feel free to send them my way.

Watching: The Bachelor, Temptation Island, The Masked Singer, and How to Get Away with Murder have been the shows I’ve been gravitating towards recently. The Masked Singer and Temptation Island are definitely a little ridiculous but I’m all about those hidden gem type shows.

Working on: I have been working really hard to transition my biz Confetti Social into a full-service digital marketing agency.

Your Turn:

What have you been up to so far in 2019? Please feel free to let me know down in the comments.
